About me
I am a registered Clinical Psychologist, specialized in psychoanalytic practice with adults, families and couples. I have experience working with women in situations of gender-based violence, people with disabilities, with episodes of depression, anxiety, OCD, secondary school tutoring and postgraduate student support, and cognitive work with elderly individuals. In my work, I use the theoretical framework of Psychoanalysis because it allows me to deeply understand the individual's subjective history and to dismantle symptoms by putting anguish into words. This means there is no predetermined time for the therapeutic work, each person has their own needs and ways of dealing with pain and suffering. The space of therapy is built specifically for each patient, in fact, we build it together, listening to the subjective narrative of each person.

My therapeutic approach
In my work, I use the theoretical framework of Psychoanalysis because it allows me to deeply understand the individual's subjective history and to dismantle symptoms by putting anguish into words. This means there is no predetermined time for the therapeutic work, each person has their own needs and ways of dealing with pain and suffering. The space of therapy is built specifically for each patient, in fact, we build it together, listening to the subjective narrative of each person.
My communication approach
As a therapist, my goal is to build a safe space for the patient to explore and put the distress into words, without any time constraints for the treatment. Every patient is unique, and so should be their therapy. Even though the therapeutic space is individual, it is essential to take into account the socio-economic context of the person, as well as their closest family-social circle.

Reviews
Friendliness of your therapist 😁
In therapy sessions, I aim to strike a balance between friendliness and professionalism. While I maintain a warm and welcoming demeanor with my patients, I also uphold the boundaries of the therapeutic relationship.
Assertiveness
I believe in setting clear boundaries from the beginning of the therapeutic relationship, outlining expectations for behavior and participation in sessions. However, I also understand the importance of flexibility and adaptation, as each person's needs and comfort levels vary.

Understanding of UAE culture
The cultural diversity in the UAE can impact adaptation in several ways, such as: cultural misunderstandings, where your values, norms, and practices from back home are only partially or non-represented leading to possible conflicts; social segregation, where different cultural groups live in separate communities and have limited interaction with each other; discrimination or prejudice against certain cultural groups, based on stereotypes or misconceptions; identity issues, cultural diversity can also raise questions about identity, as individuals navigate between their own cultural heritage and the dominant culture of the society.
Understanding of UAE social mentality
The social dynamics in the UAE are complex and multifaceted, reflecting the country's unique blend of tradition and modernity, diversity, and rapid development. The UAE has a diverse population, with a majority of expatriates from countries around the world. This diversity influences social interactions and cultural practices in the country. Family is central to Emirati society, and social interactions often revolve around family connections. Extended families often live together or in close proximity, and family ties are highly valued. The UAE's economic prosperity has led to significant social changes, including urbanization, increased mobility, and changes in social roles and relationships.
Understanding of UAE unique challenges
Some of the challenges for the UAE population are related to finding employment opportunities, access to quality education, housing affordability (due to rapid population growth), access to affordable and accessible healthcare to the growing population, finding ways to expand your social life in places of tolerance and understanding among different cultural and religious groups.
